The flowers represent self, trapped by the shawl (my religion - Islam). It is growing out of the shawl, breaking free. But because it has become so real, the flowers start to wilt (the one in the hand). Thus, it is best for the flowers to stay within the shawl though how unreal it is - in other words, it is best for me to stick to my religious values.
I know it's quite stiff, shall try to work more.
Left is a photo of myself taken two years ago. Middle is done in watercolour on A5 paper, six months after. On the right is done with acrylic on A2 size canvas a year ago.
That has a really nice concept, though it must suck to have something you have to stick to. The painting are really nice, too. I like the shading on the face in the middle one, and the colors on the right one.
